I got the photo-bug early from my father. His interest in all things photographic definitely rubbed off on me. I've had darkrooms everywhere I've lived that I could find space for them; in closets, in basements, etc. When I retired I joined the Berkeley Camera Club, switched to digital and haven't looked back. While I can recall the magic of seeing an image appear in the developer,I have gladly said goodbye to light leaks, chemical smells, etc. O.K.,O.K., I've said hello to computer glitches and crashes. All in all though, the image-generating power of digital cameras and photo software has enabled me to create an image that matches my vision. My favorite saying is "...f8 and be there". I think that pretty much says it all. I hope you enjoy my pictures. Sincerely, Steve Napoli
